I'm sure you all remember my post on advertising on your blogs. Well, even if you don't, I'm going to talk about it again, only this time it's about this company, pay per post.
Initially these guys rejected my blog. I was a bit miffed, but it stated clearly in their terms and conditions that your blog must be at least 3 months old. I can understand that. Many blogs are fly by night operations anyways. Hey I know! I'll start a blog! Eight posts and three months later and the blog is abandoned, forgotten about, collecting cyber dust in cyber space. How does that benefit the advertiser, unless they LIKE to spend hard earned money with zero return? I don't know anyone like that personally.
So, a few days after my three month anniversary, I reapplied. I wanted to see what these pay per post guys were all about. Tonight, weeks and weeks and weeks later, they finally approved me! Hurrah! I can use the service!
The basic gist of this thing is you take opportunities and blog about it. You do have to submit the posts for approval, for certain companies. And of course, you can't bid on any opportunity, only the ones open to you. Still, it can make for an interesting experiment.
I'm not up on plastering my blog with PPP posts, who would read it? I'm going to try one or two a week. Maybe make them weekend posts, since I don't usually post on weekends. Just for some extra spending money, you know?
I've set a goal for myself. See where this goes, and if in a few months time I'm not making enough to pay for one sheet of drywall a week, I'll keep doing it. But instead of keeping the money, I'll donate it to charity. They make it that easy to do as well. With a click you can have the money donated to the American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, or the Alzheimers Walk. It's that easy.
Posts start at $5.00 per post, and go up from there. This first one is worth $20.00. Not bad eh? Better posts are available to you the more you do this and the better the page rank you have. I saw one worth $300.00, but it's not available to me, with such a low google page rank. Bummer. Hey, if you want to add my link to your site, that would be cool! It benefits both of us! It'll increase my page rank, AND people will think you're so cool for showing them a blog like Spazoid's Space, they'll keep coming back to your site AND tell all of their friends!
You're right, I have no shame. But I digress, once again.
So there we have it, not a bad way to pimp your blog a bit, as long as you don't overdo it, in my opinion. You should go check it out, if you're interested in making a bit of extra cash for yourself, or to donate to someone else.

6 keen observations:
I got denied as - and I quote loosely:
"Although your blog is very funny and topical, it is of adult nature and is not appropriate for our terms of service."
Not appropriate?!! How can a post about a Bratz doll's vagina be inappropriate?!?
..oh..wait...
I guess they're right.
Pricks.
Yeah, I doubt they would want me either. Oh well, fuck 'em!
Hey! What the fuck?
I blog about poo and feces and vagina's too!
I'm going to have to try harder, I guess.
I signed up the other day too. I did a post for sponsoredreviews.com and they paid me like $16 a couple of hours later. I felt like a bit of a whore though...I felt like I needed to shower for about 2hours afterwards. I don't think you'll have that problem though ;)
I heard a rumour that google are about to update page ranks again, maybe you'll be lucky and get something good.
Actually Claire, I do feel like a bit of a whore. A bit of a whore that needs a bit of extra cash. Stupid house ownership with oppressive canadian first world taxes!
How about if we all just send you some money to STOP BEING A BLOG PIMP!?
